In today’s competitive marketplace, brand recognition is everything. For companies in the Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, and Manufacturing sectors, presenting data with clarity and impact is essential—not just for internal decision-making but also for engaging stakeholders and outperforming competitors. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Brand Images, a feature designed to transform how reports are created and interpreted.
What is the benefit
For many organizations, brand awareness is more than just a marketing priority; it’s a core aspect of their identity. Logos are instantly recognizable, allowing users and stakeholders to understand the data faster than with plain text. Visualizing performance data with branded images is a powerful way to showcase market dominance and track progress against competitors.
How to include Brand Images in Zebra BI Tables
There are two options where you can use this feature – within Categories or Groups. The most important requirement is to have images in Base64 format, which basically means that the image files are converted into a text string and can work properly. You can easily convert your images to Base64 format by using an online converter, such as Base64 Image Encoder, where you can drop the files in the bucket, and it returns a string that can be copied to your dataset.

When you import a table with a dedicated column consisting of Base64 images in Power BI, select the column consisting the text, go to Column Tools at the top ribbon and select Image URL under Data Category properties. You can now drop the column directly into Zebra BI Tables visual, either into Category or Group bucket.

The final step to enable the images is to go under Preview features and turn ON Images on categories and groups.

You will be informed about the change and prompted to Confirm your choice.

By default, the size of the image will be identified, but for better presentation, you can manage the height and width of the field through the Categories section. It’s important to mention that it’s best to use images with similar sizes so the quality is consistent when the text width and row height are changed.

If you want to use images in Groups, you can make height changes by changing the Text size under the Group title settings:

Including images in both buckets simultaneously is also supported:

Whether you’re reporting performance internally or presenting to stakeholders, this feature transforms your data into a compelling visual narrative – making it more engaging, easier to interpret, and seamlessly aligned with your brand’s strategic goals.
