Licensing Model
Zebra BI for Power BI uses an annual subscription licensing model. This means you pay once per year for the total set of users in your organization who work with reports that include Zebra BI visuals.
Power BI Licensing vs Zebra BI
Owning a Power BI Pro or Premium subscription does not grant full access to Zebra BI visuals. They are separate licensing models; Zebra BI must be licensed even for Power BI Premium or embedded usage. In case you’re using Power BI Embedded, you can buy a Zebra BI license for Power BI Embedded. For more details, please contact our sales team at [email protected].
Who Needs a Zebra BI License
Any user who views, interacts with, edits, or designs reports using Zebra BI visuals must be covered by a license — there’s no distinction between designers and viewers in licensing terms
Multiple devices
The license is user-based, not device-based. A licensed user can install and use Zebra BI visuals on multiple computers under their profile.
Why It’s Annual, Not Monthly
Annual billing encourages thoughtful evaluation of the product’s fit and supports stable product development and support planning.
What the License Covers
A Zebra BI license includes:
- All future product updates/upgrades delivered via Microsoft AppSource or through a member portal
- All three Zebra BI visuals: Tables, Charts, and Cards
- Technical support
